Traditional Apple Pie

Mix ¾ of a cup of sugar, ½ teaspoon of cinnamon, ½ teaspoon of nutmeg, ¼ cup of flour, and a pinch of salt. Stir in 2 cups of chopped granny smith apples. Dot a 9 inch pie crust with butter and pour in the apple mix. Cover with top crust, and slit evenly to let steam escape. Seal the top crust to the bottom by pinching the edges together. Cover edge of the crust with a three inch strip of aluminum foil.  Bake in a moderate oven for 40-50 minutes or until crust is brown. Serve warm.
