Leigh Carson

Chief Executive Officer
Leigh Carson is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management. He holds a Bachelors Degree with Monash University with a major in Retail Management. In 1998 he was awarded the Bevan Bradbury Memorial Award as the top graduate in his field. He also holds a Masters of Business Administration with CSU and in 2003 was awarded the Logistic Association of Australia National Post Graduate Scholarship for studies in supply chain management. Leigh Carson is a qualified Commercial Pilot and has had retail experience both as a past owner of a leading Foodstore Supermarket and as General Manager of an import, distribution and sales company supplying Australian Majors. He has held senior management roles both at National and State level in the steel and transport industries. Leigh Carson commenced as the Deputy General Manager of the Company in 2003 and was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer in August 2004.

Cara Marshall

Chief Financial Officer
Ms Marshall commenced with ARLL in 2002 and has held the role of Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary since 2004. Prior to her position with ARLL, Ms Marshall was United Star Supermarket’s Financial Controller since 1998 and held managerial and supervising positions with Pick’n’Pay Hypermarket, in a northern Brisbane suburb. She is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) and has completed post-graduate studies in Applied Corporate Governance with Chartered Secretaries Australia and now has the qualification of Grad.Dip.AppCorp.Gov.

Geoff Gale
General Manager – Merchandising & Marketing
Geoff has wide ranging experience in the grocery and associated industries. He is a founding member of the Jack the Slasher Foodbarn organisation formed in the early 1970’s. He has held various roles in merchandising and marketing, and managed the supply chain merchandise program for Franklins, moving through the organisation to Grocery Director responsible for Merchandise and Marketing until the business was broken up and sold. He was the General Manager for a private company managing businesses involved in Sports retailing, Pianos and Organs, Dry Cleaning and Tobacco Distribution. Prior to joining ARLL Geoff owned and operated 3 large supermarkets trading under the SPAR banner. Geoff was appointed to the position in October 2005.

Travis Cunnane
General Manager – Retail Operations
Travis Cunnane has over 10 years’ experience working in Senior Management roles. Travis holds a Business Degree from UTS majoring in Marketing & Law and has been involved most recently in National sales and marketing roles in two leading Australian companies. Travis’s experience has been across several industries including supermarkets, pharmacies, security and financial payments. A team of 12 report into Travis.

Reven King
Property Development Manager
Revon King has over 30 years experience in the commercial and retail property industry in a diverse range of roles. Initially he spent 8 years with CB Richard Ellis working in their Special Projects Division package together major projects on behalf of Company clients. Over the past 22 years he has worked the property development industry and has been responsible for the delivery of over 40 development projects. Revon joined SPAR in 2008 and is responsible for the identifying and structuring of new supermarket opportunities for the company. |
